CHOICE TIME

In play group class, children learn best when exposed to environment and physically develop beyond the walls of the classroom.

  1.   Given to the weather, children along with the teachers spend around 30 mins each day in the outdoor area.
  2.   Here, children not only get to observe nature but also the most important facts of life are learnt here like climate, sun, clouds etc.
  3.   Children can be observed here, engaged in different physical activities along with honing their senses.

SMALL-GROUP TIME

This time of the day helps in creating an organised routine for the children. With a consistent daily routine child knows what next is going to take place.

  1. Transitions are the gaps between other blocks of the day, like arrival to choose time or outdoor to small group time.
  2.   Whenever possible, play group kids are given choices on how to make the transition. For example, they may choose how to move across the floor on their way to small-group time.

LARGE-GROUP TIMES

Healthy meal and snacks allow children to enjoy eating healthy food in a encouraging social setting.

  1.   Rest is for quiet and solitary activities.
  2.   Children can be seen reading, engaging in self play during this time if they choose not to sleep.
